Around the corner from busy Victoria Street Richmond, the Lennox Street Community Garden reflects the culinary traditions of ‘little Saigon’. The mostly Vietnamese gardeners grow many of the herbs that you will find in local grocery stores and restaurants.
The Lennox Street Community Garden was the winner of the Vic Health Community Cultural Development Award and the coveted Melbourne Fringe Festival Award for Best Special Event. With input from community artists, the gardeners developed a range of sculptures and artworks, a cookbook and an accompanying DVD.
