Established in March 2015 and utilizing a neglected piece of public open space near the Warwick Centre Shopping Centre, the Hamersley Habitat Community Garden aims to create a safe, healthy and sustainable environment for the community to enjoy. The garden is self funded and is run by the community, for the community.
The garden aims to foster a sense of community and encourage environmentally sustainable practices and provide people with an opportunity to participate in gardening activities and feel a sense of belonging within their community. Since the Grand opening the garden has become a neighborhood hub, bringing together the local schools, community groups, small businesses and people of all ages. With regular events such as our Garden Parties (busy bees), Open Days, and our annual Arbor Day activities there are numerous opportunities to get involved in the Garden.
To keep up to date with all the happenings in the garden make sure you become a member and follow us on Facebook or check out our website which is full of fantastic gardening ideas. Happy Gardening
