The Mitchell Community Garden is a place for both novice and experienced gardeners to grow organic fruits and vegetables in a sunny, friendly, secure space with like minded people. We are diverse in nationalities and ages and enjoy sharing our knowledge and experience.

Gardeners each have their own plot and we share a communal flower garden, herb garden and fruit trees. We hold periodic working bees to keep the grass and weeds down in the common areas. Garden tools, wheel barrows and hoses are stored on site for everyone to share.

If you would like more space to grow organic fruit & vegetables, or maybe you live in an apartment, then please contact us and arrange a visit so that we can show you what our garden can offer you. We welcome all gardeners from the young to the not-so-young!

The Mitchell Community Garden is nestled in rolling farmland at the southern end of Hoskins Street in Mitchell and is well positioned for keen gardeners from Canberra’s northern suburbs and Gungahlin region.
