Bulimba Creek catchment has run a community nursery and garden since 2009.  The gardens have evolved over the years with edible and medicinal garden, small bird habitat gardens, frog ponds, worm farms, no-dig beds, small orchard, vegie patches, native and European bee hives and chickens. These gardens are open to anyone in the community who would like to come and dig their hands in the soil.

Current gardening and nursery days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. The garden areas are a combined effort of interested people, who share their knowledge and the produce. Many of our gardeners also assist with our native plant nursery and maintenance of our native garden areas within our centre. Each year we organise workshops with guest presenters to educate our volunteers and the public about various garden techniques and topics.
