Ashbury Community Garden is located within the grounds of Ashbury Public School.

The idea of the Community Garden sprouted in 2009. Michelle Favelle, school parent, had won a prize to establish a community garden and the school was happy to provide the space. Construction began in 2010 and since then garden has been expanding and growing.

The original garden was built and implemented with help of garden architect Brandon Moore. Since then, the committee team and volunteers have been constantly working in the garden to make it a beautiful space to gather, share and learn.

The garden gives students the opportunity to learn about growing food, sustainability, and tending to chickens & native bees.  The garden is also a place where the community can come together to enjoy a spot of gardening or any of the special events that are held in the garden each year.

We are open to the public on regular open garden days on weekends. Everyone is welcome.
