Located behind the 253 Tower on the Hoddle Street side of the Collingwood public housing estate, the 253 Hoddle Street Community Garden has a diversity of gardeners, an innovative chicken coop for recycling green waste, and a large shelter that is used for workshops and events.
In 2015, 253 Hoddle was selected to participate in Open Garden Victoria, as part of this celebration minister Peter Foley visited and participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the re-opening of the garden.
