The Euroa Community Action Group (ECAG) runs Yiiro Community Garden. The space was developed by our community as a place for sharing ideas, knowledge, food and great times.
We regularly hold events, run workshops, and share fresh produce which allows community members of all ages to get involved.
Yiiro means ‘joyful place’ in Taungurung language and is believed to be the origin word of Euroa. We thank Taungurung Land and Water Council for allowing us to incorporate the word into this space.
ECAG exists to support and coordinate community members and groups to make Euroa a great place to live, work, play and connect. ECAG’s mission is to build our community through projects, events and spaces.
ECAG acknowledges the Taungurung people, the Traditional Owners of this land. We pay our respects to their leaders and Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold forever the memories, traditions, culture and hopes of all Taungurung people.
