Winton Road Food Forest is a community food garden near Gardiners Creek bike trail in Ashburton, established in 2012.
It is managed by a group of dedicated residents for the benefit of the local community, the Food Forest Ashburton Group.
This is a sustainability initiative to increase local food security, reduce food miles, demonstrate sustainable urban agriculture, and develop community connectedness.
Come along to our working bees and enjoy sociable gardening and learn new skills.
Working Bees Thursdays are bi-monthly from 10am followed by byo
lunch & on the 4th Thursday & Saturday of each month – except December.
On these 4th Saturdays there is also a Home Harvest Food Swap/ Share at 9am.
