Redhead Community Garden is for everyone; all ages and all walks of life. It is a space for creative, educational activities with dynamic displays, signage and workshops; where people come together to grow food and community. Everyone is welcome to come along to the monthly gardening days at the community garden.
Regular working bees are held on the last Sunday of the month from 1pm.
The Redhead Community Garden is part of the Redhead Sustainable Neighbourhood Program, an initiative of the Lake Macquarie City Council, whose vision is “To enjoy, celebrate and sustain our coastal village community, its assets and our beautiful environment so that Redhead has a healthy future.”
A 300sqm site located within the grounds of Redhead Public School (RPS) on Beach Rd, Redhead has been generously donated to establish a Community Garden.
