Our Community Garden is managed and auspiced by the Wyoming Community Centre with funds from a variety of grants and fundraising. We have a number of individual garden beds which are managed by members of the community and who pay an annual fee. We also have some “community beds” and produce from these is available to the public for a small donation. Bulk produce is donated to local womens’ refuges.
The Garden is part of the Nth Gosford and Wyoming Eco Community Project which includes creek regeneration, waterwatch, classes, sustainable living activities etc.
Our Community Garden was the Winner of the Best Culinary Community Garden 2017, Best Theme or Specialty Garden 2017, awarded honours in the 2016 Gosford District Garden Competition, and took out the Waterwise Garden award in the 2015 Gosford City Garden Competition, and hosts regular workshops and open days for members of the community to get involved.
Garden beds are made available to members of the public for a low annual fee and we provide assistance and support where needed. We run a wide range of classes and workshops covering all aspects of natural gardening techniques.
