A community garden with plots for individual members, and common members’ garden areas, located within Nerang Country Paradise Parklands.
The Nerang Community Garden Inc was incorporated in 2008 by a group of neighbours as a non-profit organization with a mission to develop and support community gardening programs.
Providing a sustainable organic garden experience to our Community, through education, promoting senior and junior educational programs, social interaction, fellowship, and enjoyment in a natural hinterland environment.
To develop a range of vegetable gardening and aquaponic practices in conjunction with the beautification of the neighbourhood.
The group meet monthly to discuss the progress of their garden and are supported by Richmond Birdwing Conservation Network, river keepers, local schools and sponsored by Bunnings.
Nerang Aquaponics Study Centre, a unit in the Nerang Community Garden, conducts hands-on research and education on all things aquaponic. New members are always welcome.
Research and education, including training courses and workshops, in all things aquaponic: fish and plants; also hydroponics, aeroponics, and wicking beds.
