The Whitsunday Regional Council has approved Stella Community creating a Community Garden on the vacant fenced land between the Bowen Garden Club building and the Early Childhood and Education building on Williams Street.
Stella Community, partnering with the Bowen Community Council for this project, will be calling for expressions of interest from all community members who would like to participate in the community garden.
We are planning the first planting of shade trees and shrubs to occur in February 2024. We have been successful in obtaining 70 native trees and shrubs from the Carman’s Trees for Bees Program – our sincere thanks for their generous support.
