About

Coleambally Community Garden is a celebrative effort. Monica Whelan and Christine Chrigwin have done the ground work and secured funding and location for the project to start. My role has been actually growing the plants. Community engagement. I also support NDIS clients to be involved. We have gathered produce for our weekly cooking classes. With one project done, where we built a compost stations. And are now a part of the Share Waste movement. We are register compost receivers. We collect from the local cafe The Coffee Nest. All are welcome to join in. Or just visit the garden, pick what you need, pull a weed and water if required. More working bees and events are planned. Next will be a sheltered are to sit and enjoy the area and birds.
