The Campbelltown Community Orchard is located at the back of the Reservoir Rd Reserve (playground) in Paradise and was created by local people working in close partnership with the Campbelltown Council. The Council currently looks after the community orchard with the support of volunteers. We are working towards a self-sustaining model where the Community Orchard is run entirely by the community with Council support as needed.
The Community Orchard has up to 37 fruit and nut trees and also houses the Thorndon Park Reservoir pump house which has been decorated with a mural. The mural reflects on the past and celebrating the future of food production in Campbelltown. The Council worked with members of the Campbelltown Community Orchard to contribute themes and information to be incorporated into the mural, painted by artist Melanie Spurling.
Working bees are held on the third Sunday of the month, 10am-12pm and on a Monday afternoon (usually 2 weeks after a Sunday session).
