  • Gardening Australia is Australia’s #1 gardening program for a reason with dedicated community garden episodes showcasing real shared growing success. • Fantastic Fungi, Louie Schwartzberg’s stunning film reveals the underground fungal networks essential to healthy soil. We are soil farmers and it’s so important to consider what is happening below the ground as much as above.

Must-read magazines

Pip magazine was started by Robyn Rosenfeldt in 2014 as a way to share ideas, information and inspiration about living more sustainably using permaculture principles. The articles are practical, clear and accessible; you don’t need to have extensive knowledge about permaculture or sustainability to get something out of it. But it is also relevant to those who are already living a sustainable life and want more ideas and inspiration.

Articles encompass no-waste living, growing foodmaking compost, foraging, seed saving, preserving, fermenting, beekeeping, keeping chickens, green building, repair, DIY, crafting, recipes and much more.

Pip magazine is a proud partner of Community Gardens Australia and offers CGA members an exclusive discount on their publication.

Online communities and networks

Grow it Local is a community of backyard, balcony, community and window-sill farmers from all over Australia. Take a dive into the collection of how to articles to help expand your mind and food growing know how. Each month, they offer exclusive, digital workshops or participate in seasonal grow alongs and get a selection of heirloom seeds delivered direct to your door.
Permaculture Australia is the peak national body for permaculture which offers a huge range of practical tools to improve household and community resilience, increase food security, better manage water, and reduce bushfire risks. All of these are sorely needed now that the climate is changing so much faster than expected, with unprecedented fire conditions, heatwaves and drought.

They offer advice on soil health, water management, biodiversity, and native gardening to combat climate change and reduce chemical use.
