Community Gardens Australia ‘What’s Great in Your Garden’ Competition

Who is running this competition?
This competition is run by COMMUNITY GARDENS AUSTRALIA LIMITED, an Australian public company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. ABN: 88 666 023 034.
What is the competition?
Each month, a post will appear on Community Gardens Australia (CGA) Facebook and Instagram pages inviting readers meeting the Eligibility Requirements (below) to submit a photo or short video (maximum 3 minutes running time) meeting the competition theme for that month, along with their entry details.

Rules
Eligibility:
- Entrants must be 16 years or older.
- You must be a resident of Australia.
- Your entry photo or video must have been taken in a community garden that is a member of Community Gardens Australia.
- Your entry details (see below) must accompany your photo or video.
- Community Gardens Australia volunteers can enter.
How to enter:
- One photo or video is allowed per entrant, per monthly competition.
- Please supply your photo as a high-resolution digital file (JPEG, TIFF, EPS).
- If submitting a short video, it should be a maximum 3-minute running time.
- Your photo or video must be accompanied by your entry details and be emailed to: info@communitygarden.org.au.
- By submitting an entry to this competition, you agree to be bound by the rules set out in these terms and conditions.
Dates for each month’s competition:
- After the inaugural August competition, the competition opens on the first Monday of the month.
- The competition closes on the second Friday of the month.
- The winner is contacted by email on the fourth Thursday of each month.
- The monthly winner is announced on the fourth Friday of the month via the CGA Facebook and Instagram pages.
Originality and Warranties: Entrants must guarantee (in their entry details) that their design is 100% original, does not copy third-party work, and does not break any copyright laws.
Copyright: The winner retains the copyright for their photo or video. The photo or video will be used in a post announcing the monthly winner.
Judging: The criteria for the best photo or video will be creativity and theme relevance. The CGA Communications Team will judge the winning entry each month.
The Prize: One CGA t-shirt valued at $45 will be sent each month to the winning entrant. When the winner is contacted, they will be asked to specify the size required and the postal address for CGA to send the t-shirt to.
Entry Requirements
Email your photo or video and your entry details (outlined below in red) to: info@communitygarden.org.au
Please ensure your photo or video meets the criteria for the relevant monthly theme by checking the competition post for the current month that will appear on the CGA Facebook and Instagram on the first Monday of each month.
The following entry details should be included in the body of your entry email:
- The competition month should be in the header of the email: e.g. CGA competition August (or the relevant month)
- The CGA member community garden you belong to and its street address
- Your name, age, phone number, and email address
- I confirm that my photo is 100% original, does not copy third-party work, and does not break any copyright laws.
- I agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions (rules) set out above by the competition organisers.
