Westmeadows Indigenous Community Garden

Community garden

Basic Information

Westmeadows Indigenous Community Garden is one of the Hume Council’s four community gardens.

Hume Council invites enthusiastic community members to plant and harvest fresh, healthy, and seasonal produce at their local Community Garden.

Members love to connect with other gardeners and people interested in heritage fruit trees, bush tucker, real food etc.  The Community Garden offers its members the opportunity to share ideas, know-how, and surplus produce.

Even if you do not have an official plot to call your own, your local Community Garden may offer regular events and workshops.

Get involved by becoming a:

Garden plot member – individual plots for individuals, families, or groups; or
Friend of the Garden member – receive updates and invites to events at garden

All memberships are available at no cost.

Plots are currently available.

If you’d like to become involved or have an idea about how to activate this community space, contact Community Strengthening on 03 9205 2200 or visit hume.vic.gov.au/

To take a tour of the Garden, please call 0402 755 834 or you can email pappyjan@bigpond.com and make an
