West Pymble Community Garden

Community garden

Basic Information

We are a small community garden in West Pymble, located behind the shops at Phillip Lane. First started by Better Homes and Gardens, the garden wilted away to a patch of dirt over the years as volunteers came and went.

In 2017 it was reopened with 1 volunteer growing not much in the clay-like soil. In the early months of 2018, the council gave some money to the volunteers through grants and we now have 14 raised wicking beds and 9-10 dedicated gardeners growing everything from corn to cucumbers, beans to pumpkin, and more!

Monthly workshops on every second Sunday of the month. Mostly raised beds containing herbs, vegetables, and citrus trees, all wheelchair-accessible, with composting and rain harvesting.
