Penguin Community Garden

Community garden

Basic Information

This beautiful valley in Penguin was originally leased from council by the legendary Organic Gardening & Farming Society in 1983, as a permanent location for their Organic Festivals. North West Environment Centre (NWEC) now holds the lease on the site and the legacy of the Festivals.

Our community garden group meets on Wednesday mornings to garden from 10am-12pm followed by a shared lunch. Visitors are always welcome.

NWEC aims to inspire a new perspective on our relationship with the environment and each other so that we may all work together to create a better future.
