Leichhardt Community Garden

Neighbourhood/Community Centre Garden

Basic Information

All community members are welcome to our meeting, which involves a plant swap and a community garden working bee. The group meets every third Saturday of the month from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m.

The garden consists mostly of fruit trees planted on the contour for water efficiency. We also have a bathtub worm farm and compost heap.

The community garden is the setting for our monthly plant swap and community garden working bee. It is a shared, open community garden with no owned plots.

Community members can attend the garden at their leisure if they register as a volunteer with the Leichhardt One Mile Community Centre and announce their presence at the centre.
