Basic Information
Girgarre community garden is located at the Girgarre Community Cottage.
The back garden features over 10 raised garden beds growing a variety of fresh produce, various fruit trees, a pizza oven and seating. This garden can be accessed during opening hours, though the produce from this space is dedicated to food relief, in-house meal programs and community meals.
In 2023, the front of the community cottage was transformed with 8 large garden beds which will support community to access fresh produce off the street at any time of day! We look forward to filling these garden beds with a variety of produce in 2024.
The gardens are maintained by a volunteer and the produce is used to support local community meals and food bank.
