CGA has partnered with Blue Light Victoria to assist delivery of their new C0RE program for youth in 2025. CoRE (Connected, Resilient, Engaged) increases pro-social behaviour, self-awareness, resilience and connection and fosters meaningful engagement with peers and the broader community. It is a unique opportunity to help young people who are at risk of disengagement, have come to the attention of the police or have been identified as vulnerable by Victorian secondary schools.
CoRE offers local vulnerable young people the chance for connection and positive relationships with safe and important community organisations. CGA is looking for community gardens in Victoria who would like to host a community excursion day for a group of young people involved in the program. It is not a huge commitment, just a couple of hours visiting the group in the weeks prior to the excursion and then approximately five hours on the day of the the garden visit. This is a paid opportunity for gardens so if you would like to know more, please get in touch via the email below and we will send you detailed information on the program and what would be expected from you.
There have been some fantastic excursion days so far this year. Students have been really engaged and inspired by their contributions to community, showing that the program is having it’s intended impact. If your garden would like to get involved, please get in touch.
