The Friendship Garden Spring Party — call for community garden stallholders

I’m Eliza Brazel, a coordinator of the Friendship Garden at Auburn Centre of Community. We are launching the expansion of our community garden on 24 October 2015, in partnership with Settlement Services International:

(Celebrating Environment, Community & Sustainability)

WHEN: 24October 2015 — 10am-2pm
WHERE: 44A Macquarie Road Auburn

We are asking local community garden organisations to attend the event, and set up a stall showcasing all that they do in their community. We hope these stalls will inspire local and regional members to join community gardens, and bring more environmental and sustainability awareness into communities.

Individuals across greater western Sydney will be attending the event, so it is a great opportunity to recruit garden participations within your region.

The Open Day (10-2 pm) will embody a fair-like atmosphere and include:

  • stalls
  • workshops
  • music
  • garden Tours
  • family Activities
  • garden Activities
  • food etc.

As a stall holder each community garden organisations is entitled the following:

  • 1 x 1.8m trestle table
  • chairs (1-4)
  • opportunity to sell produce, seeds, other goods.
  • opportunity to promote your community garden
  • opportunity to support, inspire, educate and guide sustainable initiatives within the greater western Sydney region.

We encourage stallholders to bring additional displays, tables, chairs, gazebos etc.

A Stall Holder Application Form will be sent out upon request (due before 17th October).

There will be onsite car access for loading and unloading from 8:30am- 9:30am, and all stalls should be in place by 10am.

The Friendship Garden is looking to our community counterparts for inspiration and guidance. We hope your attendance at this event not only inspires action within our community, but fosters enthused involvement in yours.
