A large parcel of land at the rear of the Elwood neighbourhood learning centre will be converted into one of Port Phillip’s newest community gardens, come spring.
Named ‘Poets garden’, already there are over forty enthusiastic members who have registered interest in the project, including an indigenous group who plan to grow bush tucker and supporters of a childrens garden, linked with the community toy library.

working group, which has been meeting since February, have already ensured themselves a place in the annals of local history by creating a time capsule which will be embedded in the grounds during construction.
