I’ve been involved with community gardens in Queensland for over 20 years. I am one of the original ‘pioneers’ of Northey Street City Farm, and I have designed numerous community gardens and edible landscapes. I teach permaculture design and am a registered landscape architect.
I designed and now coordinate ‘Brighton Gardens’ an innovative space surrounding a block of 8 apartments. There are over 20 fruiting trees and shrubs, raised garden beds and edible gardens throughout. Community composting is popular with the residents, and we keep native bees.
