OPEN LETTER FROM GROWING COMMUNITIES...
Dear school garden, healthy food and sustainability education practitioners and enthusiasts,
Six years have passed since we last met for a national seminar. Growing Communities believes it’s time to bring the Australian school gardens community together again, to find out how school gardens are germinating, growing and harvesting in times of such extreme and volatile weather.
The LITGNS will bring together educators, health professionals, parents, individuals and organisations for a two-day journey of gardens — based education and professional development exploring how school gardens can equip school age children to
respond positively and proactively to a continuously changing world.
This year’s seminar presents a unique opportunity to meet other school gardens practitioners from around Australia, learn from their achievements, and together explore the role of school gardens in helping to bring about a more sustainable future.
Please mark the conference dates in your calendar, and forward this email to your school and community garden networks. More information will soon follow.
...please phone Growing Communities on 0424 985 383 or email litg[at]growingcommunities.org.au

As part of this Growing Communities' Learning in the Garden National Seminar they would like to present a snapshot of school gardens around Australia.
If your school has garden or utilises any associated garden based activity for teaching and learning, they would appreciate you helping by answering this 3 minutes online survey describing what you have at your school.
