Have you participated in the GROW OUR OWN FOOD workshop series hosted by City of Parramatta, Penrith City Council, or Blacktown Council over the past 4 years? or Do you care about growing food locally, are you a member of a community garden, do you have a burning desire to start a food growing and sharing activity?
We want you to join us for a hands on, learing, and sharing day in Parramatta on Saturday 23rd June.
Together we will find new ways of building local action, get others behind your ideas to grow food in our suburbs, and build a momentum for local good action.
Our program covers the following streams:
- Playing with our food — how to navigate policy, stakeholders permission, and red tape.
- Educating our community — how to engage schools and students in growing food for shared purpose.
- People movers and sharkers — how to empower your local community to get behind your food growing activity.
- Design a space — how to take a spot and turn it into a fresh food pantry.
This conference is designed to create action so come along and be prepared to get involved in something good.
