Mustard Seed Community Garden

Mustard Seed Community Garden

Basic Information

Open Day: Every Wednesday 9am-12pm

Open Day: First Saturday 9am-12pm

Always open to drop off food waste & containers.

The garden is a not-for-profit organisation established by Yokine Baptist Church in 2014.

Thanks to grant funding from the City of Stirling, our vision was able to become a reality. The garden was started to share skills, local and traditional knowledge and innovative ways of living sustainably in the local community. Collectively we aim to create a thriving and healthy centre for producing food and providing knowledge and inspiration based on permaculture, ethical principles and design. We also provide a space for community groups such as nearby childcare centres and the Activ Foundation to come and plant vegetables and herbs and tend to the garden beds. Volunteers that contribute are welcome to harvest whatever is in season for their own use. We even have private garden beds available for rental and exclusive use – contact us if this is something you would like to arrange. Continual support for the garden is provided from gold coin donations from the sale of fresh garden produce.
