Mort Bay Community Garden

Mort Bay Community Garden

Basic Information

Mort Bay Community Garden was founded in 2011 and officially opened in July 2012 with support and funding from Leichhardt Municipal Council. A second phase of construction funded by a grant from the NSW Government has seen the garden expand to 30 raised communal beds (with more to come) where we grow a range of vegetables, herbs and fruit.

Members can contribute to a daily garden care roster as well as attending working bees where produce is shared between members. We have subcommittees for planting, composting and worm farming, community engagement, native plant care and site management. Annual membership is $30 or $20 for concessions.

All are welcome!
