Community Garden Ocean Grove

Basic Information

The Ocean Grove Community Garden was first established in 2011. In September 2014 the Garden became an incorporated entity: the ‘Community Garden Ocean Grove Inc.’

The Garden is a place where members grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers for their own consumption, as well as share in seed raising and plant propagation.

The garden should be a visually pleasurable place displaying an informal design complementary to neighbouring properties. Where practicable and obtainable, recycled timber, bricks, and other materials will be incorporated into the construction.

The garden activities will serve as a public demonstration of organic gardening principles, sustainability, and responsible resource conservation and management.

There will also be the opportunity to organise fund-raising activities, small community events, and family fun time in the educational environment of a community garden.
