Full power ahead at Mullumbimby Community Garden

6 January 2009

Hi all,
Happy New Year and hold on to your hats as things start moving forward at
the Mullumbimby Community Garden in 2010. So much going on already and we've
only just got back on board after the break. You should see how much the
pumpkins and watermelons (and weeds) have grown in just two weeks!

Today's Wednesday working bee (for the want of a better name) saw of hive of
activity including mulching, weeding, sign painting and building.

A bunch of member's kids built another Hybrid adobe raised garden bed.  The
children had so much fun we have decided to do it again - next two
Thursdays.  Attached is the flier. All ages welcome.

This Saturday 9th January, we have a variety of activities planned for
members and  volunteers including planting grapevines on the fence and
assorted vegetable seeds in the new beds, always there's weeding, laying out
new allotments, more mulching, brushcutting, composting, building a notice
board and of course the most important job - someone to make the cups of
tea.

Hope you can drop in for a hour or two or several. I'll be there from
8.30am.

Watch out for news of more activities and projects in the very near future.
