Interstate coordinators guests at TransitionSydney Cafe Conversation

The Meeting of the Sydney Community Gardens Supporters Network in November 2009 was not the end of business for those Australian City Farms & Community Gardens Network (ACFCGN) people who had traveled from interstate. Come 6.30PM,  they were guests at  a TransitionSydney Cafe Conversations.

The purpose of the Cafe Conversations is networking, to enable Sydney people to meet innovators from out of town, as well as those from the city, who are engaged in interesting projects.

Previous guests have included Dick Copeman, education co-ordinator at Brisbane's Northey Street City Farm, permaculture co-founder David Holmgren, US local economics advocate Michael Shuman and Brisbane Food Connect's Robert Pekin.

Seated around the big table in the upstairs room of the ELounge on Glebe Point Road, food and wine was shared and the conversation went on late into the evening. It was a fitting and relaxing end to a busy day and an informative one for TransitionSydney people, especially those not associated with community gardening.

Interstate community garden network people and Sydney locals joined the TransitionSydney crew for a TransitionSydney Cafe Conversation to meet the interstate visitors.
