The Australian City Farms & Community Garden Network has been involved in advising lcoal government on the formulation of policies to enable community gardening.
The Network believes that policies can facilitate a transparent and fair process for community groups to seek local government assistance in starting community gardens and similar community enterprises, and that this can be a superior means of acquiring council assistance than the earlier ad-hoc process.
