Location: Allunga Road, Chigwell.

Description: Raised beds  and disability gardens Council got federal money to get it going. People taking up plots. Community house taken on auspice role.

Circular Head Community Garden

Location: Smithton High School.

Description: Shed and hot house established. Work for the Dole project. School kids  but more elderly people involved. 45 people involved at present. 5.5 acres, half fenced paved areas raised garden beds. Chooks goats. Wanted to make a community place — walks planned. A third has native areas.

Description: Established in 1998. Allotments, compost production.

Location: Channel Highway and Mary Street (via Commercial Hotel carpark).

Description: Garden has ebbed and flowed. Green Corps last year. Herb Organic Expo Nov- 29 2009  used community garden as a venue.

Description: Hosted 2010 Tasmanian community Gardens Network conference.

Works with Primary school and special needs groups from high school, Work for the dole group. Allotments, shared areas. berry fruits. fruit trees, herbs and vegetables. Cobb oven. Large shelter. Public walkway through garden during daylight hours.
