COMMUNITY GARDENERS were holding their breath waiting to see who would win the prestigious award, and on a fine day in August their wait was over.
The winner of the prestigious First Prize for the Best Capsicum went to Newtown community gardener, Lorrie Graham.
The award, presented by City of Sydney Community Gardens and Volunteer Coordinator, Annie Walker, was made in the presence of the the gardeners and a busload of visitors on a tour of community gardens.
